Paying for Psychotherapy

My fees reflect a low-to-average rate for PhD-level psychologists in Oregon and Washington.

I operate as a private pay psychologist and do not participate directly with insurance plans, Medicare, or Medicaid; however, you might be able to seek reimbursement on your own through your commercial insurer with me as an out-of-network provider. If so, I am happy to provide you with the documentation you will need to do so (i.e., a superbill).

I accept “private pay,” which means that at the end of each clinical day after your session has occurred, I will process your payment using the card you have on file in my system. That way, payment is seamless and low stress for you. I accept the following payment methods: Debit, Credit, HSA, & FSA cards.

Psychotherapy Fees

Initial Intake (90 minutes): $350

Ongoing Therapy (60 minutes): $235*

All initial intake sessions include a diagnosis and superbill, if needed for insurance claims

*Reduced hourly rates may be available on a case-by-case basis for individuals who have initiated treatment with me and are experiencing financial hardship.

Insurance Reimbursement

I am an out-of-network provider** for most insurance companies and can provide you with a statement of my services (i.e., superbill), which you may be able to submit to your insurer for reimbursement.

Prior to scheduling an appointment, you may want to contact your insurer to confirm:

  • Your out-of-network mental health benefits

  • Whether pre-authorization is required

  • The reimbursement rate for psychotherapy services

**Please review the No Surprises Act to understand your rights regarding your insurance and out-of-network services.
